Lore: Oricalcos, The prison built by the Old Gods.

In the long ages past when the oldest of gods, Gleshmere included, still saw worship on a wide scale the realms were still full of people, places and creatures so powerful and nearly inconceivable they could even worry the gods themselves. In and after a time of great strife were the gods fought wars with those that they feared, they constructed a prison so powerful and well guarded to even trap gods, built by the ancient peoples whose name would be lost to time the Orcalcons. Later the Orcalcons would become known as Nidalese, then Lutherics. Powerful in the ways of magic they would weave a building of Mythril, the metal of the flesh of gods. Buried deep into the bowels of the earth a journey to just walk its halls it is so deep and vast. And the ocean seals it below with heavy weight, in the The Gods Hand Bay, legends have it that the very bay on the coast of Nidal is in fact the hand of the old god of the ocean. All these things are what make Oricalcos the most deadly prison in all the realms.

Its halls are watched by sentries crafted by the Orcalcon forge masters, from the flesh of the gods favorite beasts. And powered by the Diefitic energies of the gods life force. Seven guardian captains in all govern the prison each with a assigned level and faction of sentries to walk the halls.

These Seven are the Guardian Captains

Grimaces with Jaw, A creature made from a bear and a dragon, using the energy of the old god of war to fuel it. Grimaces with Jaw watches over the lowest level of Oricalcos the first one any trying to escape must wade through. He is the ultimate deterrent, with the sheer force and power of a dragon, the rarest of creatures next to giants. The tenacity and endurance of a bear, Grimaces with Jaw as well commands powers of fire, heat, and earth. Making his level of the prison unto that of unbearable desert, hellish and makes all who walk it heavy.

The Trekker in the Night, forged from a spider and a Sleipnir, many passages twisting and tangling in on each other, these halls are the collective level watched by this guardian. It weaves webs like a complex maze with long running tracks it leaves to capture lose prisoners when they are lost. because much of Oricalcos is unlit it makes all its web ways in total darkness.  The Trekker in the Night uses the powers of the darkness and sound to confuse prisoners, Its hooves can be heard from every direction regardless of where it is, and it can create darkness and snuff out lights.

Of Many Faces, Gorilla and Monkey fused with the remains of the first Succubus and Incubus. The spymaster of sorts for the prison Of Many Faces, has two true forms one is a giant Gorilla like beast form its uses to crush any who dare speak of trying to escape, doing so with such animal fury in hopes to dissuade others from trying. The other form is much smaller and monkey like. It splits into many versions of itself whilst in the monkey form these are all about the size of a regular Awoken. Of Many Faces has the powers to change its appearance as well as all the powers of a succubus/incubus. Using these unique set of powers to undermine escape attempts from the inside out, or in some cases to capture certain prisoners for its personal harem.

Spoken Twice, mixture of a Kasha and a Snake, this serpentine feline is the master of the "Dark Rooms" if anyone (a prisoner hopefully least your soul be damned) should manage to make their way out from the first level, and any of the web ways, they find their way to the dark rooms. The first is a simple room where the doorway disappears after entered you are then greeted by this creature who precedes to least all your sins, and crimes (as they might be defined by the old gods), it will then ask if you need the list repeated and will do so only once. After it does it will ask if you accept or refute the crimes/sins. If you refute, then you are teleported to empty room with three pressure plates each with a symbol, a riddle on the wall. The voice of the creatures tells you to solve to riddle, it is always one related to your crimes. If you can solve it the beast will enter the room, and offer to remove you crimes/sins from you but to do so you must be eaten, and be reborn a mote of energy. If you fail to solve the riddle it will offer you to go back to your cell or it will destroy your soul. However the Dark Room can be missed it seems Spoken Twice moves the room time to time so it is never in the same place.

Once more Runs, a congealed mess of the dead putrid remains of prisoners, in the form of a Stag. On the next layer of cells the prison is nearer the surface of the ocean and so the Guardians here are more active due to increased escape attempts. This creature runs through halls leaving trails of poisonous liquid trailing behind, this creature is also very dangerous as it can travel in and out of anywhere it leaves that liquid or from dead bodies that litter the halls. This creature is ruthless and mindless with a simple goal; guard, walk, kill. Its said that the wizard Nizam was allowed to leave the prison in exchange in helping create this beast.

Wounds of War, born of the hate attached to the many blades puncturing its body this armor hulk is both the weapons and armor of those defeated by the gods, and a vicious Hedgehog that was a knight for the old gods in the battles against their enemies. No bigger than a Hedgehog would normally be its body is encased in armor made from a helmet of a fallen warrior who chose to fight against the gods, and every blade of the warriors army were shrunk and replace the creatures quills. Now it roams the halls of the second highest layer, with an entourage of knights in toe. Ten in total. If they find any prisoner out of order they strike with relentless fury.

Ten Winds, finally the betrayer of the prison and the old gods. Made of the body of a hammer head shark and a Roc. At one time this creature lead the guardians, None could pass its level of the prison, it created winds so powerful none could even rise, and most struggled even worse for it had some control over the ocean and made the pressure surrounding its level so powerful some died from the difference in pressure alone. With a brigade of golems made of fish and birds wandering its halls it was one of the more treacherous places in the realms to be. However being so close to the surface made the creature yearn for freedom from its task, and the Roc part of it made the urge for freedom that much greater so after many countless eons the creature left the prison leaving a part of itself behind as cost.

Each of the Guardians are marked by a symbol representing one of the pieces of armor of the first god of the realms the one whose dying deifitic energy fuels them, being even the dying light of a god, it is a endless fuel. Though should any of them lose their symbol they die.
