Description
The Gleshmerian Levies are the mainstay of the battlelines of most civilized nations around Malteria. The River Lords, Sanctum, the Earasi, and many others form up the core of their fighting force with a citizen militia. Roughly trained, and generally poorly motivated fighters the Levy supply bulk and pluckiness to a fighting force. These levies can often feature a mixture of species, from dwarves, lesser faefolk, humans, and halflings all pulled from various walks of life to defend the realm. This diversity can also be a boon, with levy formations being capable ranged and melee combatants.
Adventurer
The leader of this unit is referred to as an Adventurer, typically a layman of the guild of Adventuring, these individuals will often see combat on a semi-regular basis as part of their exploration duties. An Adventurer makes 2 attacks instead of 1.
Standard Bearer
models in this unit may be Standard Bearers. If you roll a 1 when taking a battleshock test for a unit that includes any Standard Bearers none of its models flee
Abilities
Massed Ranks
add 1 to hit rolls for Gleshmerian Levy if their unit contains 20 or more models. Add 2 instead if their unit contains 30 or more models and add 3 if the unit contains 40 or more models.
Shield
you can re-roll save rolls of 1 for a unit equipped with Shields
Parry
You can add 1 to save rolls for Gleshmerian Levy equipped with Swords in the combat phase
