Lore: Bander & The Badger Lodge


The fall of Nidal saw many changes to the world one such was the founding of the city Luthericburg, now the standing capital of Nidal and only non-hostile locale in the region. Many legends and heroes formed in Luthericburg, of which the only one still very real and dare say it, important to the city is the region famous self proclaimed "Heroes Guild" The Badger Lodge. Formed some fifty years after the retreat from the main walls area of Nidal the lodge is lead by a eccentric and eclectic entity, Bander the Hero of Green Valley. Bander is a awakened Badger from a far flung place not yet seen by outsider eyes, The Green Valley, none the less he was in fact a walking, talking Badger. And no stranger to fighting or leading either as it was in a time of strife he found his way to Luthericburg when the city was beset on all sides landward by demons. Bander formed and lead a small militia after much arguing with the council of The Order Arcanus to be allowed as an outsider to assist. He lead the men tactfully, with shrewd vigor and bravely fought alongside the citizen soldiers. After the fight Bander was commended for his actions and allowed to stay in the city.

After he settled in the city Bander turned the home he was gifted into a tavern of sorts and began offering training to those none wizards, to be able to handle the harsh nature of the region. He did so by either setting goals for the trainees or by taking on bounties from the Order. After a couple decades the small tavern of rag tag warriors became a recognized guild in the eyes of the Order and was given regular missions and patrols around Nidal, in fact it is heroes of the Badger Lodge that find adventurers or expeditions lost in the hellscape and lead them to the city proper.

The Lodge is most known for there mostly peaceful tendencies, Bander believed anytime peace could be used instead of violence it was best to do so. As such all the weapons used by the guild are made of a magical blunted stone intended to wound and subdue rather the kill. Made using a secret sculpting method known to Bander, he claims he was taught it by a Giant in the Green Valley.
